PhD Candidate, CSS
Sabrina grew up on a farm in Illinois and received her degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She enjoys traveling abroad and domestically, spending time with my cat Tabby, reading Harry Potter/LOTR, and hiking around Ithaca.
Sabrina is interested in the chemistries of microbial and plant organic secretions within the rhizosphere. Her research is focused on understanding better how the chemistries of these secretions influence their fate within the soil matrix, with a focus on minerals, and how the different fates of these organic molecules affect soil physical properties such as hydration and aggregation.
