Caroll Mendonca

MEng, BEE

Caroll Mendonca'a received an engineering degree with a concentration in biotechnology from the Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, India, where she did undergraduate research on the characterization of metal-tolerant bacteria for bioremediation.  She worked for three years  with a non-profit organization targeting equitable outcomes for children in shelter homes.

 

Research Interests:

Caroll's current research focus is to study the major metabolic pathways controlling the metabolism of mixed substrates by soil bacteria in response to nutrient-limited conditions. Her long-term interest is to solve environmental problems using biological, socio-economical, pollution, and public health perspectives.
